Taekwondo

Retrospective

Welcome to the land of booze, weed, and doing absolutely nothing. Only the right kind of guys get invited to this huge mansion in the Argentine countryside. And the half-naked crew here only cares about the sauna, football, and prattling about sex. Fernando has invited a new guy, Germán, to the mix. He fits in well enough, but there’s something about him that sets him apart. His friendship with Fernando starts to take a turn toward something a little too close for comfort. Is the attraction mutual? Hard to say – especially when you're surrounded by macho studs. Marco Berger is back with another deep dive into the psychology of a group of heterosexual men disrupted by an unexpected element. Enjoy the eye candy of attractive male bodies and get hypnotized by the laid-back ease of a homo-social gang which, however, is not monolithic. The subtle, realistic acting and authentic characters make Taekwondo an entertaining watch, despite its conversational focus. The film won a Sunny Bunny Award for the best LGBTQ+ film at the Molodist Film Festival in Kyiv.
