Oksana Cherkashyna
Oksana is a Ukrainian actress, who stars in Klondike, Ukraine’s entry for the Oscars 2023 Best International Feature Film. Recently, she won the FIPRESCI Best Actress prize at the Palm Springs film festival for this part, as well as the Ukrainian Film Academy award Golden Dzyga. Oksana’s latest project, People, made in cooperation with a two-time Oscar-nominated producer, is coming to theaters in Poland this fall.
Nicole Kandioler-Biet
Nicole is an Assistant Professor of the Politics of Media at the University of Vienna. Her research includes Eastern European film and media cultures, the intersection of post-socialist and post-colonial studies, gender media studies and queer film and television historiography. She is a member of the Austrian film festival advisory board of the BMKÖS and a jury member of the distribution company sixpackfilm. At the moment, she is working on her research project, Queer Cinema Austria 1906-2026.
Julius Ševčík
Julius is an established director and screenwriter in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He won the Best Director Award in the main competition of the Shanghai IFF for his visually sophisticated period thriller Normal. His most successful film to date, the period drama Masaryk, won a total of twelve Czech Lions. His first English-language drama The Glass Room, which tells a love story of two women, received six nominations for the Czech Lion Awards.
