Liu Xian has never felt more lonely than now: her mother left for work in Africa and her father, whom she barely knows, is more interested in his assistant and his barely surviving photo studio. Even the school choir forgot to make a girl’s costume for Xian, so she must perform in boys’ clothes. When Xian resigns to having the worst holidays ever, she meets the confident and enchanting Mingmei. Mingmei takes her younger friend under her wings and showers her with attention. And Xian has no other choice but to fall head over heels for her. This dreamy Chinese drama tells a story of coming of age and first love which forces us to the most desperate actions, and which can change our lives forever.
