Man Made

Man Made is a documentary that follows the lives of four exceptional men as they prepare to participate in the only body-building competition for transgender men in the world: Trans FitCon. This intimate and guileless film focuses on the different paths that have led up to this triumphant moment: Rese, a young father living in the streets; Dominic, who is searching for his biological family; Mason, a loving husband struggling with mental illness; and Kennie, who discloses to his loved ones who he really feels to be for the very first time. Participation in the competition is not a question of victory for them, however. As the film – winner of the Best Documentary award at the American Outfest festival – proves, Trans FitCon is for all the participants primarily a unique opportunity to be seen the way they wish to be seen.
