Let My People Go!
Families Out of CompetitionA crazy screwball Finnish-French comedy in which the neurotic Ruben goes from the idyllic life of a postman in a Finnish village, where he lives with his stud blond boyfriend, through a series of catastrophic situations all the way back home to Paris. And he has to take care of a million euros in a paper bag, a pissed-off lover, and worst of all, his adoring, but completely dysfunctional Jewish family for whom a knack for disasters runs throughout the generations. Great conversational humor, absurd sketches, and beautifully colorful visuals are topped only by the superb castlead by the legendary Carmen Maura, starring as the mother, while the script was written by Christoph Honoré, author of Love Songs.
