BRNO November 20 – The 14th Annual Queer Festival was brought to a close with the reopening of the Oscar winning film, Boy’s Don’t Cry, at the Scala Theater. Almost 11,000 Spectators viewed the 100 films that were screened over the two weeks in both Prague and Brno.

Brno, 8.listopadu Letošní festivalové téma „Pravdivé lži“ se odrazíve více než stovce celovečerních hraných, dokumentárních i krátkých snímků. Filmy o sexuálních menšinách a lidech vzpírajících se všeobecně přijímané „normalitě“ představí festival v šesti sekcích a celkově nabídne 14 celovečerních titulů v české premiéře.
Praha, 7. listopadu Zpěvačka Vladivojna La Chia, romista Lukáš Houdek a novinář Cóilín O’Connor budou hodnotit soutěžní snímky 14. ročníku Queer filmového festivalu Mezipatra a na závěrečném ceremoniálu udělí Cenu pro nejlepší celovečerní hraný film.

The 14th annual Mezipatra festival is so wide-ranging that it will welcome New York University’s Lisa Duggan and the Czech Internet stars Jan Zelenka and Lukáš Rejmon in a single week. This year's theme is “Truth or Dare”, and the festival starts Nov. 7 in Prague, where it will play until Nov. 14, before moving on to Brno from Nov. 13 to Nov. 20. The events that make up the accompanying “off program” will echo the main topic of the festival.
The 14th annual Mezipatra Queer Film Festival will take place in Prague Nov. 7-15 before moving to Brno Nov. 13-20. This year, the theme of the festival is "Truth or Dare." According to John Cameron Mitchell, director of the cult movie Shortbus, Mezipatra is "the best queer film festival [he has] ever been to."
