A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman
CenterpieceThe amazingly untrue story based on a true story takes the form of an animated documentary, consisting of works by over a dozen different animation studios. For the first time in 23 years, the legendary British group Monty Python reunites, including the title‘s protagonist - “the most homosexual” as well as “the most dead” member, Graham Chapman. Not even his death in 1989 could prevent his participation - quite on the contrary, he reckons “it’s the best movie I’ve starred in since I died.” The incomplete list of events depicted (un)accordingly to history includes: tea with the Queen, the importance of pipe-smoking, a holiday with John Cleese and the founding of Monty Python, coming out live on TV and the personal struggle with being “openly gay and secretly alcoholic.” The experience is enriched, in addition to a full 3-D rendition, by Cameron Diaz starring as Sigmund Freud and the chorus recommending whole-heartedly for a sing-along in the cinema: “Sit on my face and tell me that you love me!”
