What is the generation of young queer activists like? Does their activism focus solely on LGBTQ+ rights, or do they also fight for the rights of other marginalized groups? Ohňostroje / Fireworks / Stranizza d'amuri

Hodina queer dějepisu (cz)
Are you curious about what a history lesson that doesn't ignore the existence of LGBTQ+ people might look like? Ladislav Jackson (he) and Denisa Vídeňská (she) from the Society for Queer Memory will shed light on this. Together, we'll explore why it is so challenging to reconstruct queer history and get acquainted with specific examples of queer lives from Czech history.

Gay dating (cz)
The Grindr app is used by 11 million men worldwide each month, mostly for sex. But is it really about sex? Why can forming sexual relationships be easier in some ways than forming emotional ones? In this panel, we will discuss aspects of gay dating with Martinek Bísek (he) from the podcast Gay Guys and with Andrea Stašek (she), who will present data on gay and bisexual men on online dating platforms.Po proudu / Drifter

Baden Baden
Hannes Hirsch, in his feature film debut, explores the complete transformation of a person who loses their points of reference and is given unlimited freedom by their surroundings. The search for identity is linked to a constant redefinition of the image of masculinity and the male gay body as a whole.

This screening is made possible by the Queer 24 project, which is the result of a collaboration between the Goethe-Institut in the Czech Republic and the French Institute in Prague. Thank you.
