A large part of the accompanying program in Prague comprises the popular section not only form film professionals, Queering the Industry. It will take place in Svět HUB at the weekend of November 6-7, and is fully in English. The first day will start at 11 a.m. with the Festivals of the Future discussion with the representatives of young queer film festivals from Cyprus, remote parts of Italy, and Portugal. At 2 p.m., it will be followed by a discussion on casting queer characters in Who Gets to Tell Your Story?, with the representatives of queer cinema from all over Europe.
And the Saturday block will finish at 4:30 p.m. with Asian Queer Films in Exile, a discussion with Chinese documentarist Popo Fan and other exile filmmakers. On Sunday, the program will start at 11:30 a.m. with the Show Your Shorts discussion, which will introduce the stories films made by directors in this year’s short films competition. And at 2:30 p.m., Queer Genres, Queer Monsters will present the change in LGBTQ+ characters in thrillers and horrors.
