Don't turn on Netflix today because you're watching films from Mezipatra! But you can get closer to Netflix at 6:00 p.m., as it will be discussed in the Netflix & Queer debate. How has the Pose series changed the portrayal of trans characters? How do animated series like She-ra affect the perception of queer heroes among children? What are the issues and practices of portraying minorities in the film and serial production of Western and Eastern Europe? You will learn all this and even more in a panel discussion with film theorists Šárka Gmiterková, Eva Chlumská, Jana Glocarová and director Martin Velič.
At 7:00 p.m. we will steam a recording of an interview with Canadian director Bruce LaBruce, in which we talk about his film Saint-Narcisse. You will definitely not find it on Netflix, so do not hesitate and watch it while you can. What's new on Haná? We will find out at 7:30 p.m. from guests from the Olomouc Ollove Association. There are echoes of Mezipatra in Olomouc, but this year you can watch it from anywhere, so don't forget to recommend the festival to your aunt from Moravia. At 8:15 p.m., Karel Vladyka (known as Just Karen) asks the protagonists of the Trans* series (don't expect anything touching like the Pose, this is not Netflix!).
