No Hard Feelings / Futur Drei
Queer Kino presentsIf it wasn’t for his bad habit of minor thefts, young Parvis would continue living in a German town enjoying wild parties and all sorts of experimentation. He has been sentenced to do community service at a refugee centre to help with his rehabilitation. But the son of Iranian immigrants begins to get closer to the shy Amon, who recently escaped from Iran with his sister Banafshe Arezu. The trio is enjoying a seemingly carefree summer, but the relationship between Parvis and Amon is going beyond mere friendship… This colourful story about conspiratorial closeness, trust and the need to belong deservedly won this year’s Teddy Award. Also because the central question of the story is highly relevant: can a foreign country ever become a genuine home for the young protagonists?
