Shy and peculiar, Jeanne lives with her mother and works in the nearby amusement park, which she’s loved since childhood. Her hobby is building models of the park attractions, and she fills her humble suburban home with glittery lights and souvenirs from the park. Nothing much happens in her strange but generally peaceful life. That is until she falls in love for the first time. To the horror of her mother and the people around her, the object of her attraction is the new centrifuge, which she names Jumbo. A summer full of dreaming, passion and lunacy starts for Jeanne. How can this unusual romance end up? You‘ll find out in this film which premiered at Sundance and won the Guilde Film Preiss at the Berlinale.
