Jesse, a seventeen-year-old girl of Iranian-American origin, is gathering the courage to tell her best friend Roxanne she loves her. Yet Roxanne unexpectedly invites another girl to their evening together. The chance of a romantic evening spent with a beloved person quickly fades away, and Jesse faces another unforeseen challenge: getting rid of her new rival as smoothly as possible.
