Out of people's sight, in a remote monastery in the countryside, a radical female group is preparing for a revolution. Under the guidance of the mother superior, abused and defiant girls who haven't been treated well in life strive to establish a new world. A world where the male population is completely eliminated and women escape the clutches of patriarchy. Yet the strict order of the terrorist cell is disrupted by the arrival of a young man fleeing from police, who hides in a secluded house with the help of one of the girls. But it seems that the roof conceals more secrets than the women suspect. The non-conformist Canadian filmmaker presents a provocative vision, where lesbian pornography turns into the main propaganda weapon of the female resistance. LaBruce's tenth, symptomatically subversive film premiered at this year's Berlinale and offers a challenging commentary on today's world.
