Brno's Mezipatra is in full swing and after the initial screenings we have another week full of original queer films. What are the films you should not miss out on?

Today is your chance to see the winning film Solo in Kino Art, which tells the story of a young man performing as a drag queen in a club. The film is full of colour and music, which is an important part of drag performances, but also drama and problems that the young man must solve in the process.

Another film worth mentioning is Fragments of a Life Loved, which will run later tonight at the Lucerna cinema. This Italian film depicting the love life of director Chloé Barreau from the perspective of her lovers is recommended by the Mezipatra program director Kristýna Genttnerová herself.

Kamila Zlatušová, founder of the Serial Killer festival, recommends a preview of the new Czech TV talk show Chi Chi’s Couch with drag host Chi Chi Tornado. Cinema Scala will offer the public the first two episodes at 8.30 pm.

On Tuesday, in addition to films such as Vera and the Pleasure of Others or Fireworks, there will also be a Q-Hub’s talk in the Patio at 7.30pm: Queer Mental Health and Wellbeing. There, the group from MUNI's FSS will discuss the queer situation in Europe and the politics related to it. So feel free to come and join the discussion!

On Wednesday, there will be an anticipated screening at a secret location of the competing co-production Reas, a film about fantasy life in a women's prison. Everyone will meet at 8 p.m. at the statue of Jost in Moravské náměstí, where the organizers will take those interested to the location where the film will be screened. Will you give in to your curiosity?

On Thursday, Scala cinema will offer the Czech documentary I'm not Everything I Want to Be. It tells the story of the world photography legend Libuše Jarcovjáková during the communist era in Czechoslovakia. The director Klára Tasovská assembled the film from thousands of analogue photographs.

On the last day of the festival, the films Sebastian, and the German Teaches of Peaches, will be screened at the Closing ceremony at the Scala Cinema. The festival will close with the announcement of the audience award winners and the Closing Karaoke Party with Plusko+, to which everyone is invited!
