“If it makes me hideous,” sings Oliver Sim with painful sincerity in his voice, with the crème de la crème of riveting 1980s pulp horrors running around. On his solo record, the singer of The xx has confessed his harrowing teenage experiences and he gives free rein to the Gothic and nightmare in this short. “Been living with HIV, since seventeen.”
